no matter what sport you’re into or what your fitness goals are, the ability to perform the pistol squat is a bad a*s move that will lead to improvement of balance and coordination

to perform the pistol squat we need a good degree of ankle, knee and hip mobility, unilateral leg strength not to mention body awareness. it is also one of the few body weighted movements that require a high degree of mobility, stability, balance and body control

✨are you constantly experiencing hard core cravings?
✨if you are one of those people who constantly struggles with cravings, chances are your body is trying to tell ya something!  nutrient deficiencies can materialize as cravings or signals from the body that it needs something.
✨nutrient deficiencies can significantly contribute to stress, inflammation, toxicity and hormonal imbalances in the body. a poor diet high in refined sugars, low hydrochloric acid (hcl) in the stomach, a lack of digestive enzymes and gi infections are some of the largest contributors to nutrient deficiencies. regardless of the cause, they prevent the body from absorbing and utilizing nutrients that are needed for the creation and distribution of many hormones throughout the body.
✨below is a list of common cravings that are connected to particular nutrient deficiencies and some more nutrient dense foods that we can replace them with instead of indulging in sugary, refined, and processed carbs that likely won’t make you feel so hot.
🍫chocolate —>possible magnesium deficiency. instead, eat seeds, nuts, and veggies.
🍩sugary foods —> possible chromium, phosphorus, and tryptophan deficiencies. instead, eat sweet potatoes, spinach, fruits, and fattier proteins like beef/salmon/eggs.
🍞bread/pasta —> possible nitrogen deficiency. instead, eat foods rich in protein and fats such as salmon, nuts, means, beans, and seeds.
🍔oily foods —> possible calcium deficiency. instead, eat organic milk/goat milk, leafy greens, grass-fed meats, and veggies.
🍟salty foods —> possible chloride or silicon deficiency. instead, eat fatty fish, cashews, nuts, and seeds.
✨not saying that these are an absolute and you are deficient in any of these nutrients if you are craving said foods... but it’s definitely something to keep in mind as generally they are linked to one another. what will you eat the next time you have a gnarly craving?! ;)

Healthy looks different on everyone and what you see in outward appearances is not always a good indicator of health.
health for me has been been challenging, trying and frustrating simply because it has been tough to get to the root cause. i eat well, have positive relationships, workout,etc..so what gives?

michael cazayoux, adee's husband, is co-founder of brute strength, and host of brute strength podcast. at the age of 17, michael moved from a small town in louisiana to utah for drug rehabilitation. it was that experience that led him to fall in love with crossfit and helping others through coaching and mentoring. prior to coaching multiple crossfit game athletes, michael competed and became a back-to-back affiliate world cup champion in 2012 and 2013 with his team "hackspack."

Mountain bread pizza after a loooong morning of three training sessions. first was f45 bears class, followed by upper body @brute.strength program and then my running/endurance and sprint session (i’ve always liked running, but i am horrible at it🙋🏻‍♀️) i’m now truly exhausted now and want to demolish a block of chocolate and 2 real italian pizza’s 🤦🏻‍♀️😩 this will do for now. i have to make sacrifices sometimes in order to get what i want☹️😅
