As well as working hard, be sure you’re enjoying your sessions in the gym. if you’re not enjoying yourself, you are going to slip sooner or later. no one is made of iron 100% of the time. even if it means changing up one or two exercises in your session to something a little more ‘fun’ or ‘fluffy’ do it. it’s worth it in the long run. looking after your mental strength/will, i think is just as; if not more important than looking after your physical state (injuries/recovery) etc. this means taking the occasional break from the gym too! just be able to recognise when you need it as apposed to when you’re just being lazy... 😝

when was the last time you consistently worked out? i'm talking about 4-5 days/week, 30-40 minutes per time, and broke a sweat? for more than a couple of weeks!!! and no, watching other people sweat at the gym while you stand on the treadmill binge watching "real housewives" is not what i'm talking about. 😂
think back to that time and think about what you loved most. how did your body feel? how did your mind feel? how long did those feelings last throughout your day beyond the time spent doing the actual workout?

but in all serious let's have a real quick talk about carbs.
-
carbs don't make you fat. carbs do not directly contribute to f*t gain. nor do they directly hinder f*t loss. yes, you can still lose f*t while insulin is present. -
only total calories effect f*t loss. yes, its possible that you may be getting too many calories from carbs. but, if your total calories for the day are within your limits, then the amount of carbs doesn't matter (as long as you have enough protein as well).

all my clients have lost hundreds of pounds of f*t while eating moderate to high carb diets.

point is, don't fear carbs, as long as you're within the right amount of calories and protein, carbs are fine. plus they are delicious, amirite?

Progressive overload 🔑 -

progressive overload is key to getting bigger and getting stronger! it is gradually and continually increasing tension and stress on the body during exercise. -

this is usually done by increasing the weight used every session, but can also be implemented by increasing volume, reps, frequency of training and even decreasing rest time between sets! -
