We know you love quokkas, but there’s more to @rottnestislandwa in @westernaustralia than its famous furry residents! we're referring to the 83 beautiful beaches and bays that can be found dotted around the coastline, each one unique in its own way, and all of them absolutely postcard-perfect. some of the most popular spots that are not to be missed include the basin, little parakeet bay, geordie bay and little salmon bay. you’re welcome ๐Ÿ˜‰ photo: @jasonnesbitt #rottnestisland #justanotherdayinwa #nature #travel #island

#earthcapture by @georgebturner as the storms rolled in over the serengeti plains, this cheetah whizzed by at speed. they, like many cats, hate the rain. "turning to look behind me for a brief second (at a distant hyena), i quickly snapped this shot. it was made possible by preparation, a nikon d5 and of course, a healthy dollop of luck!" #bigcats continues this thursday 8pm on @bbcone

#earthcapture by @georgebturner this young female leopard has strikingly green eyes. interestingly, there can be marked differences in eye colour between individuals. some green, others a near-golden. #bigcats

One of the best things about san gerardo de dota, rain, you’re almost guaranteed to get some daily, and i love it because it adds a special touch to photos, especially if you can get a little drag, with the correct shutter speed. it really sets the habitat shot for some of these species with specific habitat niches; the flame-colored tanager, found at higher elevations feeding in flocks of other tanagers and finches, the bright red means this individual is a male, females are a softer yellow. @audubonsociety
