Sumo squats πŸ““πŸ‘πŸ’ͺ🏽 for this exercise there any many variations you can do: smith machine, barbell, dumbbells, or cable.
here i am demonstrating the dumbbell sumo squat which i love to use for burning it out after a heavier compound movement and really get that pump. i go half a heavy weight for me, so that would be 50 lb. for high reps, 4 sets of 15 reps.
also, i like to lean forward as i do these squats with the dumbbells because i find i can feel a better glute squeeze. i do not squat all the way up, i keep it low and tension on the glutes πŸ’―%. to get the proper stance for you, stand wider than shoulder width apart, feet pointing slightly outwards and test it out to make sure your knees sit behind your toes and your b**t can sit back nicely and comfortable. then as you do the exercise make sure to stay conscious of keeping the weight on your heels! push up through the heels and sit back on the heels. you can still lean your body slightly forward if you maintain aware of your proper form during each rep. mainly your glutes and both inner/outer thighs are what is going to propel your movement.
do these after a heavier sumo squat or hip thruster movement such as the one i demonstrated in the video before.
