When you think about glenfarclas whiskies, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?
to me it's that their cask strength oloroso sherry matured whiskies are mind blowingly good!

Whisky munich international club - february 2019 tasting.

once again we feasted!
once again we tasted!
once again we met and shared great time over great whisky!

the february tasting has been again a success, shared with great people exchanging opinions over this spirit we love so much!
in 14 of us, the following tasting journey started:

we kicked off with a kilkerran 12yo, a campbeltown beauty!, followed by the the beast of dufftown, a mortlach 16yo. to end the first half we moved to islay, were we tried the beautiful bunnahabhain cruach mhona!

during the break between first and second half, loads of freshly baked focaccia was served, accompanied with different varieties of cheese, speck and salami.

a break was really necessary before starting again with the aggressive part of the tasting: an explosive glenfarclas 105 followed by the octomore 06.2 aged in ex-bourbon and finished in ex eau-de-vie limousin oak cask of aquitaine!

what can i say? not an easy line up, but really capable of providing some unusual profiles!

for this month our tasting is over, and despite the constant overbook of our events, we always try to welcome new participants! looking forward for the next tasting in march! always in munich, always in english! stay tuned!
