So today i had finally got a chance visit @thevalleyk and here i would like to brag about the amazing steak n shrimps that i had there. i have been a fan of sea food but i was craving for an amazing steak so this meal satisfied my need for both. my choice of steak was cooked on well done temperature. the beef was cooked to it's core and the golden brown shrimps were coated with crisp. i had ordered a sideline of mashed potatoes with it but it was served with fries (later i was served with complimentary mashed potatoes). the taste was there in every bite and the amazing sauce that was served with the steak had multiplied the taste of already mouthwatering steak. an amazing lunch experience indeed

#transformationtuesday has arrived! today’s transformation is my own internal perception of “my journey”. changing my mindset from #weightlossjourney to #selflovejourney, #mentalhealth and #selfconfidence have been my key focuses these past few months.

for years, i was brutally harsh on myself- ridiculing everything i ate, loathing the times i fell off track, and overwhelmed with solo exercise routines. this constant frustration and dissatisfaction with the process contributed to the rollercoaster that was my #weight and #selfimage ~~~
not anymore! i choose to #eatbetter because i know it makes me feel better. i choose to #exercise because i am blessed and #healthy enough to be able to. physical #transformations are great, but internal/mental transformations are truly where it’s at.

Vegetarian vegan dinner.
roasted sweet potatoes carrots red onion and garlic. toss with vegetable oil, herbs (tarragon, sage, thyme), salt and pepper. drizzle of honey. roast in oven 375 degrees about an hour. cover to steam 30 min. uncover to crisp under broil. saute oil and garlic add water and kale to steam. served with side of watermelon.

the older i get, the more i realize how incredibly valuable time is. i love doing things that save time (like eating @paleoworks instead of cooking) and planning my time out (trying to use a daily planner more often and using cool apps mentioned below) so i can spend more of my time with people i love (@nanlock3 ) doing things that line up with what matters to us (the beauty is we can all define what matters @mayhemmindset ). ・・・

stress better! arguably our most valuable asset in life is time! we can always make more money but we can never make more time. it is a non renewable resource.

credit to @neilpasricha in his book the #happinessequation for the idea of 3 buckets of 56 hour. you sleep 56 hours/week (8 hours per night times 7 nights. if you sleep less than 8 hours then it is most likely only making the quality of your waking hours worse.). 50 hours a week for work seems to be the new 40 and then you have commuting and thinking or stressing about work while at home, so its about 56 hours/week there as well. that leaves us with 56 hours left each week to spend them as we want. use them well!

one area that seems to steal away more time than we ever intend for it to is our phones. the smart phone (like many things in life) is a great servant but terrible master. one way to make sure we aren’t wasting time is to monitor/limit the time spent on our phones. the stayfocused app on android is good for this as well as forest app for iphone. i limit my instagram time to 20 minutes a day. some days i get kicked out. some days i stay under. any time we use in one area of life will be stolen from another. sacrifice your time where it most benefits your life and reflects what you believe in. be intentional with how you use your time or it will use you!
