Just a friendly reminder that enjoying the holidays won’t undo all your progress. it’s ok to enjoy yourself and not stress over every single cookie and glass of wine. there are 11 other months in the year so enjoy the time you have with your friends and family and give yourself a break

today i’m smashing out bbg full-body at home, because there’s nothing better than a 28min sweat session that will 100% have me feeling the burn tomorrow 👊. plus, with work finishing up in a few weeks i’m drowning in marking and reports so without this workout, i think i’d go a little crazy😅. what are you girls doing for yourself today? invest some time to make yourself feel good. you deserve it xo

Feeling a little emotional today about this transformation photo. these pictures are exactly 2 years apart. to the day. i remember how i felt in the before picture. i was actually happy!! i had lost about 10-15 lbs already! which was a huge accomplishment for me, especially over the holidays. this was about the time that i got serious about my weight loss journey.
but i think the most important part of my transformation is the time it took. y’all, it’s been 2 whole years!! (and not done yet!) it doesn’t happen over night. that’s why it’s so important to work on habits. because you’re not always going to be motivated. it’s going to be so hard some days, but quitting is never going to get you there.
i think about if i would have quit. man, what i would be missing out on. don’t miss out on another minute of your life. no body says you have to be perfect, you just have to keep going. that’s literally it. just. keep. going. 💕

I’ve been having mixed feelings about the progress shot, i don’t want anyone to feel like they need to hit a certain target or have a specific type of transformation but on the other hand, i think it’s a really great way to see progress without having to rely on the scale 🤷🏽‍♀️ what are your thoughts??

February 2016 —> december 2017
a lot can happen in less than 2 years when you put your mind to it. was it easy? absolutely not. is weight loss lineal? nope! you will have ups and downs. was it worth it? 1000 times yes.
please don’t forget that this isn’t something that happens overnight. it’s so easy to get discouraged. that’s why it’s so important to create habits so that you will continue to keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. weight loss is temporary, these habits are going to help you be able to lose the weight and keep it off! 💪🏼
don’t be h*****n yourself either. if you lose 10 lbs in 3 months and think to yourself “i only lost 10 lbs in 3 months,” i want you to think of what you would say to a friend if they told you that. you wouldn’t tell them to quit. you wouldn’t tell them it’s not worth it. you would tell them how amazing they are doing and to keep going. so why would you tell yourself any different??? trust me. i know it’s hard. but it’s even harder living in a body you aren’t comfortable in.
also, i want to add.. i would love to see any transformation photos, please tag me in your own so i can show you some love for your hard work 💕💪🏼

on week 51 of @sweat and week 17 of bbg- can’t believe i will be finishing 52 weeks of sweat next week. 🤭 bbg truly can be done anywhere in the world, i have done it in 6 different cities and three different countries and it has always given me the same results. never thought i will be at my healthiest happiest self after having a baby. thank you @kayla_itsines for creating a fitness program that not only can be done anywhere in the world but can be done by moms. 🙏🏽 @kayla_itsines

this morning my phone sent me a notification to "rediscover this day" and showed me this picture i took exactly 2 years ago.

can’t believe i have completed bbg wk 48 😱this program @kayla_itsines is so amazing that every time i think that may be its time to do something else or take a break for a while ,but it’s so effective and convenient to be done from anywhere, there are no excuses with #bbg 😀bbg has really given me the strength to go on without making any excuses , and made be so strong 💪 which i never ever believed i will be , i was never this active ever in my life , and m so happy that i came across bbg and started at the right time , coz now i can cope up with my hyperactive toddler, and take care of my husband and can manage the house without getting tired all the time 💪thanks @kayla_itsines and @tobi_pearce for giving us such an amazing gift 🎁 in form of bbg❤️

Oh...hi! just checking in...i’ve been a little busy since my last post, you know, growing a human! 😂 this pregnancy has been hard. it has been nothing like my last pregnancy. you know- the one where i was able to workout and stay active the entire time?! this time, i haven’t worked out, i haven’t eaten the best, i haven’t even stepped on a scale (except at the doctors office). it’s been totally different, but i am also 100% ok with that! all pregnancies are different and require different things... something i learned *very* well this time. anyway... just wanted to check in! i’m 39 weeks today... just one more week to go! ❤️

You know you are a snack-person when you have protein bars, fruits, dark chocolate handy in your bags, office cabinets and even car🙈who else can relate?🙋🏻‍♀️

here are my top 9️⃣ snacking ideas (in no particular order)
1️⃣ @rxbar : i looooove gingerbread flavor, pumpkin spice and blueberry (12g protein per serving #win)
2️⃣ protein bliss ball : i have made so many batches of these and adding figs has literally been a gamechanger (recipe on blog, link in bio)
3️⃣ @perfectbar : the almond butter flavor literally tastes like badaam barfi (almond fudge). my husband loves it too! i love the dark chocolate almond too.
4️⃣ smooothieeee : hubs gifted me a @thenutribullet and i have been experimenting with smoothie combos. my faves are spinach+banana , beet+zucchini+ berries.
5️⃣ yogurt bowl : nothing can beat a good ol’ yogurt bowl with tons of fruits and nuts! sooo yum! and yes, add that almond butter on top🤤
6️⃣ the perfect plate #1 : strawberries, scrambled eggs with spinach and italian spice and avo
7️⃣ the perfect plate #2 : blueberries, peppers, fried eggs, avo and h**p seeds
8️⃣ @squareorganics bar : my fave flavors are crunch and sea salt (code bananabreadtoburpees saves you 20% and free s&h)
9️⃣ maatchaaa latte : i love everything matcha. matcha latte with almond milk, coconut butter and some cinnamon is the best!

Following intermittent fasting has ameant i have had to condense the time in which i eat my meals. now i only have a short time to wait till my next meal. this has helped me stop thinking and dreaming about my next meal- let’s face it i love my food ❤️ it has limited stress over trying to eat at particular points in my day and means i get to sit down and enjoy each meal after the school bell has gone 😋 i have become a more mindful eater and have reduced cortisol (stress hormone) and insulin resistance 🤗 this whole “healthy” business has been about me finding what works for me- and intermittent fasting is one of those things 😊
