If you told me a year ago i was going to be 19 weeks pregnant by now i would have told you that you were crazy! i’ve always wanted to have kids but have put it on the back burner. it wasn’t until this year that things really fell into place and i realized i wanted to start a family.
so when people started asking me what adventures i have planned for this year it really came down to one big one... parenthood! this whole experience has been so eye opening. i’ve had a mild pregnancy so far, very little symptoms of morning sickness and i remain pretty active still. yes, i still hike but i take it easy and listen to my body.
we just found out recently we are having a girl! we couldn’t be more excited. taking each day one day at a time and enjoying every minute of it! 🤰🏻
Throwback to a beautiful sunny day in april when there were rows and rows of ranunculus in bloom! i thought things were heating up for the summer 🤔what’s with this rainy, overcast weather?
Plastic is cheap, easy to make, and convenient so it’s no wonder companies have made plastic products for decades. as a society we rely on it so heavily and have used so much plastic that it now pollutes our oceans, harms our wildlife, and overflows our landfills.
new on my blog i posted all about ways i reduce the single use plastic products in my life. i share some of my favorite @kleankanteen products including their insulated water bottles, tumblers, straws, and food jars as well as some of my favorite alternatives to plastic bags like @rezipofficial @naturallysensibleshop and @beeswrap.

Happy thursday! it’s almost friday and i’m so excited to go camping this weekend in ojai! 🏕 what adventures do you have planned this weekend?
Tired of eating jerky on the trail? looking to switch up your hiking snack game? i tried starkist chicken creations for the first time while exploring the carrizo plain. the pouches are super convenient and a great source of protein (no draining required, just tear, eat and go). also love the versatility of being able to add lean protein to veggies, crackers, or enjoy straight out of the pouch.
i'm loving the chicken options, personally my fave is the starkist chicken creations ginger soy, but you can choose from 23 flavors in tuna, salmon or chicken creations. to stock up for your own outdoor or everyday adventures, check them out at your local retailers or have them shipped directly to you from the new starkist e-store, buy.starkist.com. check out my story for details!

Explored the carrizo plain “place of the rabbits” for the first time. it’s the largest native grassland in california. the national monument is huge! i feel like i only saw a small portion of it, but the carrizo plain did not disappoint with its showcase of yellow blooms! 🌼 🐰 #nowildflowerswereharmed
