What is one of the biggest hurdles you’ve had to overcome? “i was diagnosed with cavernous angioma a couple of years ago. this condition is basically a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in my brain that can cause seizures and loss of speech. my condition is now controlled with medication and i can freely do whatever workout i desire. i was reminded on how short our lives are and that we are to never take them for granted.” -@tallblondebell #newyearbestyou
What is one of the biggest hurdles you’ve had to overcome? “not feeling guilty about taking some time for myself as a mom, and being okay with fitting a workout in daily. i really struggled with feeling so guilty about this! but as soon as i saw what a huge difference this made in me personally and as being a mom, i let the guilt go! i'm a better mom 100% because i choose to live an active lifestyle and working out is an important part of my life.”- @ashleyjgeorge #newyearbestyou
What is one of the biggest hurdles you’ve had to overcome? “finding the time to care for myself and exercise is always a challenge. having two little kids and a husband that travels for work, self-care tends to go out the window. being intentional and planning time for my workouts and alone time is key for me to progress in my health and fitness.” - @tiffany_afitmomslife #newyearbestyou
What’s one of the biggest hurdles you’ve had to overcome? “learning what worked for my body to lose weight. for years i tried to eat very low calories and mainly just do cardio. i have now found that revolving my workouts around weight lifting with only a little bit of cardio and eating enough to actually fuel my body has worked amazingly for me!” - @simply_sarabeth #newyearbestyou
What’s one of the biggest hurdles you’ve had to overcome? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “getting back into a fitness routine after an injury can seem nearly impossible. when i separated my shoulder a few years ago, it look me months to get back into the swing of things, but i just learned that i could only do what i could do. overdoing it would only hurt me in the long run, and with time i was able to overcome it.” - @pairedwithprosecco #newyearbestyou
“what motivates me is being better than i was yesterday. fitness is a journey, not a race, so i find motivation in making every day the best i can. i also set personal goals every day to strive for. the people who motivate me are the average women on social media that i see slaying their goals on a daily basis, the moms who make time to work out before their kids are up, the women who are losing their baby weight, losing the weight the best they can for their families. those are the people who motivate me.” - @annagracefitness #newyearbestyou

“my advice to someone who is just starting their fitness journey is to try and not give up. if you give up and take a couple weeks off from activity, then just get back into it! some movement is better than nothing! also, start off slow, and pace yourself. results will come!” - @lauraguerra #newyearbestyou
What’s one of the biggest hurdles you’ve had to overcome?⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “consistency. with so many children it makes life a bit crazy. something always comes up, something is always (seemingly) more important. deep down i know without a doubt that me being strong and healthy is the best way i can serve those i love, but making that happen day in and day out is such a challenge. i now see it like a game… did i let excuses win or my goals win.” - @megmariewallace share your experience using #newyearbestyou.
What is your advice to someone who is just starting on their fitness journey?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “make it your own. there’s no one size fits all for living a healthy lifestyle. if you try to be someone else you just can’t be yourself. so stay true to who you are, and find what fits you while you enjoy the journey.” - @faithfullyfitarmy #newyearbestyou
